Privacy Policy

After a video call with friends, you might already have short clips on your phone that capture the moments you want to keep. Mińi_Cháṫ friends video helps you turn those locally stored videos into an editable recap timeline—mark moments, trim ranges, reorder segments, preview the cut, save the project on your device, and export when you are ready. This policy describes what the app handles on your iPhone and what stays under your control.
Overview
- On your deviceRecap projects, moment markers, trim ranges, and playback state are stored locally. Your original videos remain in the Photos library or other locations you chose through the system picker.
- No accountThe app does not ask you to sign in, create a profile, or sync edits with friends over the network.
- No selling ads profileWe do not use the app to run analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking. Apple’s privacy nutrition label for the app reflects no tracking.
- Limited Apple APIsThe app uses standard on-device storage (UserDefaults) to remember your recap projects and editing data, as required for local project management.
Information the app processes
Videos you select. When you tap Add clips, iOS shows the system media picker. Only clips you explicitly select are referenced for editing, preview, and export. The app does not scan your entire library in the background or upload selected media to our servers—because no upload service is built into the product.
Project data you create. For each recap project, the app stores items such as project title, ordered segment list, moment labels, in/out time boundaries, inclusion choices, and timestamps for create/update. This data exists to reopen saved recaps and continue editing.
Playback and export status. While you preview or export, the app may hold transient state (for example, which segment is playing or export progress). That state is part of normal on-device operation, not a separate cloud log.
What we do not collect
- We do not operate user accounts or collect passwords.
- We do not record live video calls or intercept communications from other apps.
- We do not use automated scene detection, face recognition, or emotional inference on your footage.
- We do not receive your selected videos on our own servers through this app. Network use, if any, would come from iOS system services outside this app’s core editing workflow; the app’s purpose is local assembly and export.
How data is stored and retained
Recap project metadata and editing choices are kept in local app storage on your device until you delete them. Source videos remain wherever you stored them; the app keeps references compatible with iOS media access rules. If a source clip becomes unavailable (moved, deleted, or unsupported), the app may show a recoverable error and ask you to relink or choose different media—without transmitting that clip elsewhere.
Deleting a saved recap project from the in-app project drawer removes that project’s locally stored edit data after you confirm. This action does not necessarily delete the underlying video files in your library.
Sharing and disclosure
Sharing a finished recap happens only through actions you take on your device (for example, saving or sharing an exported file through iOS share sheet). We do not operate a collaboration server, friend feed, or cloud backup for your timelines.
We may respond to valid legal requests if we ever receive personal data outside the app’s normal local-only design; today the app is not designed to transmit your editing content to us.
Children
The app is a general-purpose editing tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a dedicated registration flow, because no registration exists. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has contacted us by email, write to us and we will address the message.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and publish the revised page at the same address. Material changes will be described in plain language on this page.
